Character limits by plan

Novelio limits how many counted character profiles you can keep in a story, depending on your plan. Micro characters do not count toward the limit.

Character profile limits

• Free: 10 character profiles per story
• Basic: 15 character profiles per story
• Pro: 30 character profiles per story
• Worldsmith: unlimited character profiles per story

Counted character profiles include Primary, Secondary, Minor, and Group characters. Characters in Trash still count until you permanently delete them there.

What happens when you reach a limit

If you reach your character limit, Novelio restricts creating new counted character profiles for that story.

Existing unlocked profiles stay editable. If a profile is locked, you can still view it, but you cannot edit it until access is restored.

To make room, permanently delete profiles you no longer need from the Trash. You can also upgrade to a plan with a higher allowance.
