Why we built Novelio
Stories sit at the center of human connection.
Stories change the world. And you, as a creator, get to be a part of that.
The world can be heavy. It is filled with misunderstandings, hurt feelings, disappointments, and manipulation. With Noise. With anger and abuse and exhaustion. With pain.
But the world is also full of beauty. You don't have to look too far to find good people and kindness and warmth. A world of art and music. Friendship and culture. Resilience and courage. Love. The epic humanness of it all is a marvel to behold.
Stories sit at the center of that tension.
They challenge us.
They soften us.
They give us courage.
They stay with us.
Even the hardest stories, the ones that leave a mark, can carry truths we need to face. They bring people together. They bring ideas into social conversation. We see each other differently after having read them.
Stories also trigger critical thinking. They help us develop sympathy and empathy; they help us learn to both set boundaries and break down walls. They bring joy and sadness and bravery and mystery and love into whatever minutes we give them, and we ponder those feelings long after we shut the book.
Humans learn so much from the characters of our collective creative, and that growth, that self-examination, can change generations if we let it.
There are stories out there waiting to be told. It is my fervent belief that Novelio can help bring those stories into the world. It's a thoughtful place for us creators to explore human connection through fiction, and store all of these ideas so we could focus on writing beautiful novels.
So, my creator friends, write something that seeps into another's soul. Because your words will change the world. Or at the very least, part of the world.
