Change your plan and understand proration

You can review available plan changes from Settings. When a plan action is available, proration is handled through Stripe.

Change your plan

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Subscription.
3. Choose the billing interval you want to review.
4. Find the plan you want.
5. Select Upgrade, Select, or Downgrade to Free. Your current plan card may also show Stay on Current Plan.
6. Confirm the change if Novelio asks you to review it.

If you choose Downgrade to Free, Novelio shows a confirmation titled Confirm Downgrade to Free.

How proration works

Proration for plan changes is handled through Stripe.

If Stripe applies a proration charge or balance adjustment for your change, it will appear in your billing records.

Important plan-change note

For recurring paid plan changes, Novelio may show a warning that the plan can only be changed once a month.

If Novelio shows that restriction and your account is not yet eligible, the button stays unavailable until the next eligible date.

If you already scheduled a downgrade to Free

Changing to another paid plan keeps paid access active and removes the scheduled downgrade to Free.

If you want to keep the current paid plan instead, select Stay on Current Plan.

If a plan change does not complete correctly, your billing looks wrong afterward, or no plan action appears for your account, contact support@novelio.app.
