Story Sync is opt-in. It only reads the manuscript file you choose to upload.

How Story Sync uses your manuscript

When you run a Story Sync scan, Novelio analyzes the manuscript you uploaded and creates results for you to review.

Story Sync can return character profiles, worldbuilding pages, scene analyses, plot and arc notes, and Reader Questions. Review results in the Story Sync dashboard and decide what to apply. After applying, refine the pages in your story file.

What Story Sync does not mean

Story Sync is not automatic background scanning.

• it does not read a manuscript unless you upload one
• it does not write your story for you
• your content is not used to train AI models

Review still matters

AI analysis can be incomplete or inaccurate.

Review the scan carefully before relying on it.
