Use onboarding guides

Novelio onboarding guides appear in different parts of the app as you work. They are tied to specific areas, not collected into one automatic tour.

Where guides appear

Onboarding guides can appear in places such as:

• Portfolio
• Storyboard main menu
• Character List
• Character Page
• Worldbuilding
• Plotting: Element Library
• Plotting: Create Timeline
• Plotting: Template Preview
• Plotting: First Timeline
• Plotting: Scene Edit
• Plotting: Blank Timeline
• Story Sync dashboard

You will usually see the guide when that part of Novelio is viewed for the first time. In some places, such as Story Sync, a welcome screen may appear before the guide runs.

Revisit or turn guides on and off

If you want to manage onboarding guides later:

1. Open Settings.
2. Open the Onboarding tab.
3. Use the Completed button for each item to mark or unmark the guides you want to revisit or turn off.
