Edit a world

To edit a world, open it from Worldbuilding and update the profile fields and worldbuilding sections on that world’s page. If you still need to create one, see Add a world to your story bible.

Open the world

1. Open your story.
2. Select Worldbuilding.
3. Open the world you want to edit.

If your story has multiple worlds, use the worlds menu at the top of the page to switch between them.

To change the layout, open Display Settings and switch View Mode between Tile and List, or switch Grouping between Split and Unified.

Update the world profile

At the top of the world page, you can update these fields:

• Name
• Speculative/Fantasy toggle
• Summary

If the Speculative/Fantasy toggle is turned on, additional worldbuilding categories can appear.

Add or revise worldbuilding details

With Grouping set to Split, the page is organized into two main sections:

• Quick Cards
• Deeper Worldbuilding

Use Quick Cards for faster profile and gallery-style entries.

Use Deeper Worldbuilding for longer sections and more detailed prompts.

Depending on what your story needs, you may see sections such as Maps, Places, Items, Consumables, Animals/Creatures, Races, Species or Types, and Symbols/Markers.

Hide unused sections

If you want a shorter view, open Display Settings and use Filter to turn on Hide Unused. Use Show All to bring the hidden sections back.

This hides unused world pages so you can focus on the sections you are actively using.

If you want to see all world sections in one collection, switch Grouping to Unified. If you want the section headings back, switch to Split.
